NATIONAL PROGRAMS

Champion Chapter

Champion Chapter is a series of membership engagement-focused challenges that chapters may complete for national recognition. By completing activities, chapters accrue points. Completing activities across 4 sections will result in Champion Chapter recognition. Chapter advisers may access the activity list for each section within the Leadership Community.

  • Summer Starter (August 1 – September 15)
    Focuses on chapter building and membership strategy. Tasks are designed to help chapters set the foundation for a successful membership year. NOW CLOSED

  • Shaping Success (September 16 – October 31)
    Focuses on member recruitment and retention. Tasks are designed to promote membership benefits and foster engagement. NOW CLOSED

  • Service Season (November 1 – December 15)
    Focuses on community service and engagement. Service Season tasks are designed to meet the core of the FBLA mission: being community-minded business leaders. OPEN TODAY!

  • CTE Celebration (January 1 – March 1)
    Focuses on chapter excellence and CTE awareness. CTE Celebration tasks are designed to showcase FBLA excellence and achievements.

BAAs (Business Achievement Awards)

Enhance leadership skills, expand business knowledge, contribute to local communities, and earn recognition
The Business Achievement Awards (BAA) are an individual achievement award program for active, paid high school student members in FBLA. Participating students have the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills, expand their business knowledge, contribute to their local communities, and earn recognition by immersing themselves in their school and communities. There are four levels to the Business Achievement Awards.

Contributor Award
(Level 1)

Members are introduced to the foundations of FBLA and learn how to best take advantage of the opportunities available to members.

Leader Award
(Level 2)

Advocate Award
(Level 3)

Members learn the fundamentals of leadership and explore their personal leadership style.

Members have the opportunity to select a business skill or content area that they would like to further develop. 

Capstone Award
(Level 4)

Participating members will design, complete, and reflect on a project that solves a real-world problem. Can submit for NLC Review.

Scholarships

FBLA Distinguished Business Leader

This scholarship is designed to recognize outstanding FBLA members for their activity and involvement in the association. The number of scholarships given depends on yearly contributions to the FBLA scholarship fund.

Individual Award: Minimum of $500; half will be awarded at the NLC and the other half upon joining Phi Beta Lambda.

Johnson & Wales University Scholarship

A private, nonprofit, accredited institution with 14,000 graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in Providence, North Miami, Denver, and Charlotte, we have cultivated a supportive environment where students and faculty work to bring out the best in each other. FBLA members are eligible for JWU scholarships up to full tuition. Complete an application to JWU and indicate FBLA membership to be automatically considered for our National Student Organization's scholarship program.

LifeSmarts.org & the National Consumers League

The LifeSmarts program invites FBLA members to become Safety Smart Ambassadors. Student Ambassadors provide interactive safety messages to younger children using scripted 30-minute presentations and videos featuring Disney characters. Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to winning applicants.

Students who serve as Safety Smart Ambassadors are eligible to apply for a scholarship by registering free online at WWW.LIFESMARTS.ORG, completing a scholarship application, and uploading a PowerPoint presentation highlighting your experience.

National Technical Honor Society (NTHS)

The National Technical Honor Society is providing two scholarships to active FBLA-PBL members who are also current NTHS members in good standing and providing funding for two FBLA-PBL National Conference events each year. NTHS/FBLA-PBL members are also eligible to apply for the Jon H. Poteat Scholarship at www.nths.org.

Criteria:

  • Applicants must be in 10thgrade or higher.

  • Applicant must be current NTHS member for eligibility

  • A fully completed application must be submitted by the deadline date or forfeit eligibility.

  • Scholarship monies are held up to three (3) years to be used for post-secondary education.

Other Student Challenges & Partner Program

Student challenges and partner programs provide opportunities for students to compete in a variety of areas throughout the school year. Different from the National Awards Program (competitive events), student challenges are often presented in collaboration or hosted by our partners throughout the year.
